After a wonderful introduction, the body of the commentary drops off a bit in usefulness. This was the text book for Gospel of John at FWBBC. It was the first commentary I /5. A unique volume, it delves deeply into the structure of John, also providing verse-by-verse exegesis that will be useful to pastors, teachers, biblical scholars, and all wanting a holistic understanding of the book of John. Tenney's John: The Gospel of Belief is a fantastic tool for the further study of John. Easily searchable in Logos, cross.   The Gospel of John was written to prove that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. As an eyewitness to the love and power displayed in the miracles of Jesus, John gives us an up-close and personal look at Christ's shows us that Jesus, though fully God, came in the flesh to distinctly and accurately reveal God, and that Christ is the source of eternal life to all who believe in him.
